Dr. Gonzalo Oñoro Otero

About him

Dr. Gonzalo Oñoro Otero graduated in Medicine from the University of Alcalá and is a specialist in Pediatrics. He completed his residency at Hospital Infantil Universitario Niño Jesús in Madrid, with a particular focus on pediatric intensive care, and has held a PhD in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid since 2017.

For more than ten years he worked in pediatric and neonatal intensive care, in both public and private hospitals. He then moved into primary care, where he currently practices.

He sees pediatrics as close, rigorous medicine centered on the wellbeing of the child and the family: listening, answering parents’ questions and giving them what they need to understand what is happening to their child and how to support them, through illness and throughout their development.

Together with Dr. Elena Blanco, also a pediatrician at ADÚO, he runs “Dos Pediatras en Casa”, a pediatric outreach project for families across social media and the press.
